DMR Committees

DMR focuses on improving framework conditions for the consulting trade in Denmark, specifically by the establishment of three DMR committees that will point out the positions of the Danish consulting trade on various matters. Below is a short description of each committee. For further information on the committes, please click the above sites.

Competition and Tenders Committee

Fair Tenders for a Positive Development
Tender rules and the way they apply are imperative for the development of the consulting trade. DMR watches the practice and will point out to the relevant authorities any unfair tender conditions. DMR wants to bring into focus how important it is that both customer and provider ensure the transparency of the conditions and prerequisions that are vital for the success of a project, including the necessity of establishing good relations and a constant dialogue.

Fair Competition
DMR's members are continuously interacting with the public sector by conducting evaluations and change processes within the sector. At the same time, part of the public sector offers fee-based consulting services. The border line between public and private consulting services is therefore not very clear.

Competition has to be fair. Regulations and public support must not distort competition, as it would force out productive and effective consulting institutes which would be to the detriment of the development of Denmark as a knowledge society and the creation of new jobs.

Knowledge Committee

Development of the Knowledge Society
The consulting trade is a major actor in the knowledge society. Consultants are very much a link between researchers and business, transforming theory into practice in the company. In other words, consultants create and disseminate new knowledge when in contact with clients.

DMR sees it as a fundamental task to be active in the development of the knowledge society and to focus on the contributions that the consulting trade makes.

Certification Committee

DMR's Certification Committee is in charge of the certification of management consultants in Denmark.

The objectives of the committee are:

  • to promote ethics and professional standards
  • to promote certification as a quality assurance instrument
  • to stimulate a continuous capacity building, including exchange of experienses and knowledge sharing
  • to strengthen the certification endeavour and increase the knowledge about the certification
  • to support certified management consultants
  • to be responsible for information on certification
